Mechanical handling system with air heated suction grips - minimises condensate in suction units by passing heated compressed air during stand-by phase

The mechanical handling machine uses low pressure suction head to move components and includes a provision for reducing condensate in the lifting heads. A number of suction heads are used to handle flat components. A low pressure suction pump connects over lines with the suction heads and are controlled by a number of directional valves. To minimise the adverse effects of condensate precipitated in the suction head, high pressure air is admitted to the suction lines when handling is not in progress. A high pressure compressor (14) supplies air to 2/2 valves that is heated before being gated into the suction lines. In addition electrical heating coils may be included in each suction head.
