The electro magnetic relay has two flat yokes separated by permanent magnets acting as spacers. All the other components such as armature, contact restoring springs, coil windings etc are fitted in the space between the two yokes to produce a compact unit. The contact springs are hooked in slots in the region of the corners of the yokes pointing in the direction of the armature. The other ends are electrically insulated. The spacers each have extension pieces each acting as electrical insulation for one side of the yoke.
