An exposure control device (15) which can be operated by hand is installed in the housing (10) of a camera having two exchangeable viewfinders. One viewfinder has an automatic exposure control device and the other viewfinder has an exposure control device which can be operated by hand. Both viewfinders can optionally be mounted on the camera housing. Upon being mounted, the viewfinder provided with the automatic exposure control device actuates a pin (17) in the housing, which via a switch (16) connects the control circuit in the viewfinder to a voltage source in the camera housing and switches the exposure control device in the housing (10) off from the voltage source.
