<p>The clamping device consists of two plates tightened by a bolt and fitted at one end with inclined surfaces which make it possible to clamp two items with centre lines running in a right angle, with one device. Two plates (1, 2) are tightened by a bolt and nut (8). One end of the plates in shaped either plane or angled to grip securely the tube (6). The other end of the plates is angled to form inclined surfaces (11, 12) directed so that when the two plates are tightened, a relative translation of the two plates takes place. Near to the angled ends the two plates are provided with holes to accmoodate a second tube (19) which due to the translatory movement of the plates becomes tightened by the corresponding edges (20, 21).</p> |
