<p>Suturing needle comprises a needle holder, shaft and curved tip which contains a hole for the thread. A guideway is provided in the shaft for an axially adjustable slider and extends partially into the tip with a handle near the holder to adjust the slider thus picking up or releasing the thread as required. The needle shaft which has a cylindrical profile, is constructed as a sealed hollow profile with a plunger rod sliding inside it. Pref. the rod which is made of spring steel has a circular cross-section. The needle tip is fixed to the free end of the shaft and is equipped with a guide groove for the tongue on the free end of the plunger rod.</p> |
