Flow regulating valve with poppet valve - uses output flow relief pressure tapping for constant flow operation

A flow regulating valve with a poppet valve operated by a control membrane against a valve spring and with a relief bellows is presented. A throttling element is placed on the input side of the valve seat and the control membrane is operated by the pressure difference across the throttling element. The regulator is designed to maintain constant flow and pressure difference for each throttle position irrespective of the position of the poppet valve. The relieving pressure is obtained from a tapping point in the region of the output flow cross-section above the poppet valve and is fed to the relief pressure chamber via an axial boring in the valve stem.
