A multiple type flash light device, having several flash bulb devices combined to form a single unit and a device which indicates which of the lamp has been used, has the indicator device in the form of a light and heat absorbing foil. - The foil melts or shrinks as a result of the output of radiant energy from the flash lamp device when the flash bulb is discharged. - This change in configuration or design is responsible for providing the indication by means of which unused and used bulbs may be distinguished.
