As shown in Fig. 3, an explosive welding tape 17, preferably comprising an explosive surrounded by a non-combustible thermoplastics cover, is formed into a complete circle between the films 11, 14 with its ends crossing at 18 and one end is ignited. Suitable explosive compositions are specified. |
