<p>Fuel is metered to the engine by a fuel jet (5) whose cross section is varied by a taper needed (4) attached to a pneumatic plunter (2) able to slide inside the air intake pipe (1). The air space (8) above the fuel level in the fuel container is controlled by two electron magnetic valves (10, 11). The valves are closed in their rest position, and actuated by signals from an integrator (14) which amplifies combined signals from an engine speed sensor and an exhaust gas oxygen sensor (17). The one valve (10) controls the air from a source upstream to the throttle valve (3). The second valve regulates the air to the induction section regulated by the pneumatic plunger. The mixture is basically regulated and corrected by the exhaust sonde tension acting on the two valves. The valves are opened by the ignition impulses.</p> |
