<p>A cable junction is projected by a sealed cover which also excludes moisture. The cover is in two parts, both formed from a plastics material having some degree of elasticity, and is intended to be filled with grease. The overall form is approximately box-like with two conical in-line cable entries. The two halves are coupled by studs (16) at the cable entry points the cover section hinging over the cable (20) itself to form end seals. Cables (26) leave the enclosure through its base. A side window (28) is normally closed off by a cover attached to the top section. This cover is a flap which can be swung back, and carries a ridge around its under side, which fits into the side window.</p> |
