Laminated film material for packaging foods is composed of (1) polyolefin and (2) >=1 of paper, aluminium foil and regenerated cellulose, these components (1) and (2) esp. the polyolefin, contg. 0.01-0.1 wt. %, based on polyolefin of an additive selected from 7-21C fatty acids, and alkaline earth metal salts and methyl esters of these acids. The additive provides strong bonds between (1) and (2) without harming the acceptability of the material for food packaging. Avoids the need for use of oxiddised polyolefin or special adhesives. The acid is pref. stearic, beheric pelargonic, or tricosanoic acid. The alkali metal is pref. calcium or magnesium. The ester is pref. methyl stearate, behenate or pelargonate.
