<p>Collapsible package for solid, liquid or powdered prods. comprises two polygonal lids each of which has an even number of parallel sides arranged in identical pairs. The box may consist of a sleeve which is flattened along two hinges comprising opposite edges and which has grooves each of which ends in one of the apices of the angles of the base polygons. The lids are pref. made of expanded polystyrene or moulded plastic, conforming to the moulded shape of the ends of the object and ensuring closure, and wedging and protection of the object (bottle package). Pref. the cardboard used has been waterproofed, the sleeve has been subjected to hot melt adhesion, and the lids are made of metal or plstic. The cardboard may instead by untreated, and the lids simply fastened for powdered contents.</p> |
