<p>The cutter-bar (1) has an elongated housing (2) supporting pivoting cutter-plates (3-6). The cutter-plates preferably rotate in pairs to converge in the front, so that the mown crop is discharged behind. Each cutter-plate has two diametrically opposed cutter-blades (9, 10) pointed outwards by centrifugal force during operation. The cutter-blades (9, 10) of two adjacent cutter-plates are positioned at ninety degrees from each other. Above the cutter-bar (1) there is preferably a beam (11) joined to the housing (2) by means of an upright at the back. A shield (13) and frame (14) are supported by the beam (11). A fixed deflector with forward-curved front part is positioned above the outer cutter-plate. The deflector is fixed to the beam's upright by means of a tie and fixed to a clamp underneath the cutter-bar (1).</p> |
