Reciprocating IC engine piston cooling arrangement consists of an oil sprayer (6), integral with or fixed into a supply pipe (5) projecting into the crankcase (1), with a flexible portion (8) adjoining the orifice end (10), and of a coolant duct (4) parallel with the piston (3) axis, leading to the underside of the piston crown. A boss (14) formed around the orifice permits a tool (9) to be used to align the sprayer so that a rod (11) extending its axis enters the coolant duct (4) when the piston is at TDC. A mirror (12) and light (13) in the crankcase facilitate the adjustment.
