<p>The noise-screening wall, as erected at the side of traffic routes, comprises wall elements one above the other, between two posts. The elements consist of a sheet shell, open towards the noise source, with a mat of insulating material inserted, and with the opening covered by a perforated sealing section. The shell (4) is corrugated vertically, with edges bent out cylindrically and screwed to the support parts (2). The sealing section is a piece of stretched metal (8) clamped between the bent edges. the insulating mat (5) fits against the inside only at the corrugation apexes. The corrugated sheet edges, running across the line of the posts, overlap and interlock with those of the next sheet, if necessary with an intervening sealing layer (14). The bent ends may be gripped by a vertical U-shaped rail, with a strip of putty.</p> |
