<p>A device for coating pieces of felt such as carpetings and needle felts, with a soln. of a glue or a dispersion of an adhesive, by means of a rotary cylinder partially immersed in the fluid, and an endless conveyor for the pieces to be coated, has a separate drive for each. The conveyor is formed by an adhering belt which holds the workpiece consisting of a floor covering section and transports it across the applicator cylinder moving in the opposite direction, from which is picks up the adhesive. A smaller dia. cylinder is located close to the applicator cylinder. This is not immersed in th fluid and can be adjusted horizontally so as to regulate the amt. of adhesive applied. Applies a uniform coating to all kinds of floor covering workpieces, without scraping and the formation of fibrous waste to clog the machine.</p> |
