A reciprocating motion in the peripheral direction of the pressure rolls is imparted to the stripper bar by an eccentric, pref. mounted on the shaft of a roll, e.g. a backwardly running grooved roll, spaced from the pressure roll to be cleared of fibre. Device provides a fibre stripper of simple construction reliable in operation and able to be fitted to the draw frame of an existing spinning machine.
