<p>The invention concerns a railway unit (1) consisting of two end running assemblies (5) and (6) interconnected by a pivoting support railway structure (10) detachable to take up an oblique loading and unloading position. The invention is characterised in that the pivoting support railway structure (10) comprises at least at one of its ends (5) and (6) lockable support and bearing means (16) mobile between two positions, said means (16) being designed to lock the rear axle wheels of the second tractor (4) transported with a first tractor (3) in the place of a semi-trailer on the same railway unit and bring it into a lifted transporting position. The invention is of interest to manufacturers of railway equipment for combined rail/road transport.</p> |
