1510059 Clutch release bearings SKF COMPAGNIE D'APPLICATIONS MECANIQUES 7 July 1976 [8 July 1975] 28267/76 Heading F2L In a clutch release bearing assembly comprising a rolling bearing having inner and outer bearing rings 1, 10, a sleeve 16 of elastic material, which mounts the bearing assembly slideably and adjustable on a guide tube 13, has a stepped bore and an annular groove 18 provided in the wall of the sleeve adjacent to that portion 17 of the sleeve of smaller internal diameter. The annular groove 18 may taper from its open end towards its base, may be of greater or lesser axial extent than the sleeve portion 17 and may, on its side nearer the longitudinal axis of the sleeve, be defined by a plurality of axially extending fingers (30) (Fig. 5, not shown). The fingers may be provided with ribs extending in the axial direction of the sleeve, and inclined to the radial direction of the sleeve (Fig. 7, not shown). One or both ends of the sleeve may be provided with the annular groove-stepped bore arrangement (Fig. 8, not shown).
