Filter plant has provision for bankflushing and reslurrying the medium. The filter is a multi-layer sand or other particulate medium filter. It is equipped with 3 or 4 way valves or straight through valves. These are so coupled together that a sinel lever turns them through 90 degrees. The motion is linear and can be hand or mechanically induced. This changes the filter from filtering to bankflushing. Pref. a recirculation mode can also be introduced after the bankflushing mode. This requires an extra valve which is spring loaded. For recirculation valve is held by a latch which is released at the end of the recirculation phase of the cycle. This latch can be hand or mechanically operated. Arrangement is esp. for use with swimming bath filter installations. Allows straight forward commercially available valves and fixtures to be combined in a simple arrangement. The whole cycle change then involves a single stroke in either direction. |
