<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a report system which enables the transmission of positional information of a portable terminal involved and report data to the side of a public circuit network in a shorter time, by receiving data from a GPS satellite when a reporting switch is operated. SOLUTION: The report system is constituted of a portable terminal 1 which has a function of carrying out position finding computation using data received from the GPS satellite 5, and information on the orbid of the satellite received from a circuit network 4 to transmit the positional information obtained to the circuit network 4, and a function of transmitting a report data to the circuit network 4 when the reporting switch is operated; and a center unit 3 which receives the positional information being transmitting therefrom through the circuit network 4 and detects the arrival of report from the side of the terminal when the report data is received through the circuit network 4. The portable terminal 1 is provided with a self-diagnosing function of automatically determining whether own operation is normal or not and contains the capability of the position finding computation at a part of the self-diagnosing function.</p> |
