Colour measuring equipment for testing paint - uses spectral photometer to monitor continuously mixed liq. paint by extracting samples

The colour measuring equipment is used to test liquid media such as paint in the visible wavelength range. A vessel (1), especially a mixer, contains a raisable overflow tank (2). A pie (12) runs from the bottom section of the vessel and its top end terminates in or above the tank. A pump (13) is fitted in the pipe. The liquid medium enters the tank directly from the vessel and indirectly from the lower part of the vessel via the pipe. Part of the surface of the medium in the tank is exposed to a monochromatic light beam and the reflectance or absorbence spectrum is measured. The measuring device is pref. a spectral photometer.
