PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a drive chain and a drive sprocket from soiling by excessive toner dust by a flexible chain guard in cooperation with a hard fixed chain guard. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic printer has an improved type flexible drive chain cover arranged to protect the drive chain of a toning shell from the soiling by the toner dust. The electrophotographic printer is provided with a hard drive chain cover 68 arranged adjacently to a flexible drive chain guard 50, and the guard 50 and the cover 68 are arranged to be superposed on each other.
