PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor that suppresses a contrast difference with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A luminance level converter 11 converts a luminance Y into a luminance Y' according to function shown in equation 1. The output Y' of the luminance level converter 11 is stored to a memory 12 by each frame, a low frequency suppression unit 13 applies filtering processing to the Y' to suppress its low frequency component. Thus, the Y' stored in the memory 12 by each frame is converted into a Y" with a suppressed low frequency component and a maximum value Y"max is detected from the Y". Then a coefficient calculation unit 15 calculates a coefficient Lmax /Y"max from the maximum value Y"max and an Lmax stored in advance, the Y" are sequentially read from the memory 12 to obtain Y'''=Y"Lmax /Y"max . The output Y''' is outputted to an analog processing device 3 as an image output whose contrast difference is suppressed. |
