PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a training signal detector and a detecting method in which an alternating pattern and subsequent pseudorandom pattern are detected surely. SOLUTION: The training signal detector comprises an A/D converting section 101, an Rx filter 102, an AGC 103, a splitter 104, a demodulating section 105, and a variation detecting section 107. Receiving signals sampled at the A/D converting section 101 are passed through the receiving filter 102 and converted through the AGC 103 to have an optimal level. The receiving signal is then separated by a splitter 104 into the sin wave component and cos wave component of QAM before being demodulated at the demodulating section 105. The demodulated signal point is inputted to a variation detecting section 106 and an alternating pattern or a pseudorandom sequence is detected by detecting variation of the signal point. Since the training signal is detected utilizing variation in the coordinates of a demodulated signal point, the training signal can be detected surely without being influenced significantly by deterioration of the line. |
