PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and its method that can optionally select a stamp color desired by a user. SOLUTION: A required image memory area is reserved at copying (step S1), the reserved image memory area is cleared (step S2). Then in the operation of reading an original, image data of the original are scanned in a controller memory from a scanner via an IPU(Image Processing Unit) in this processing (step S3). Designated stamp data are synthesized with the read image data in a required image plane (color) (step S4). The image data after stamp data synthesis formed in the step S4 are transferred to an engine in a prescribed timing, printing is started (step S5) and the processing is terminated. Since a user operating the image forming device according to a user code can set an available stamp color, the user can optionally select a desirable stamp color among stamp colors whose use are permitted. |
