Refuse collector vehicle with sliding shutter - has opening for round or square dustbins with lifting arms in front of loading hatch

The refuse collector vehicle is equipped for emptying dustbins with round or square mouths without dust generation. A lifting and tipping mechanism, preferably in the rear wall of the vehicle, discharges the bins into the latter in any order. In front of the loading hatch of the vehicle there slides a shutter with openings in it to suit both kinds of dustbin. The openings are adjacent to each other and on the shutter centre line. They can be situated one above the other, the shutter sliding vertically in guides on the vehicle bodywork. Joint strips or beads of elastic material can be fitted round the edges of the openings.
