A detergent compsn. comprises (A) 1-99 wt. % of a cpd. (I) or (II), and (B) 99-1 wt. % organic detergent: (where R1 is 8-30C alkyl or alkenyl or alkaryl with a 10-24C alkyl gp.; R2 is 8-21C alkyl or alkenyl; alkaryl with 6-16C alkyl, 1-4C (hydroxy) alkyl or -(C2H4O)z H where z is 3-50; R4 is 1-8C alkylene, 3-8C alkenylene, 2-hydrozypropylene, 2- and 3-hydroxybutylene or alkarylene with 1-4C alkyl provided that when R3 is -(C2H4O)z-H then R4 is -CH2CH2-; R5 is 8-30C alk(en)yl; R6 is 8-30C alk(en)yl or 1-4C (hydroxy)alkyl; X- is sulph(on) ate; x and y are 2-100 provided that (x+y) >=12; M is alkali metal, ammonium or alkanolammonium cation). |
