1463214 Shoots TRELLEBORGS GUMMIFABRIKS AB 5 Feb 1975 [11 Feb 1974] 4916/75 Heading B8S [Also in Division B2] A lining-and-fastener arrangement, particularly for a mill or shoot having a surface to be protected against wear, comprises an elastomeric layer and a fastener 16 screwed into the layer from the side facing the surface to be protected against wear. The fastener comprises a screw bolt or pin with a tubular externallythreaded self-tapping shank portion 24, 26, 32 screwed into the elastomeric layer and an abutment surface limiting the depth to which the fastener can penetrate. When screwed in, the elastomer extends at least partially into the tubular shank. The abutment comprises a flange which is formed as a tool grip portion 40. The solid part of the shank is threaded 20 to permit fastening with a nut 22. The self-tapping threads on the hollow shank have a trapeziform profile and the end of the tube is knife-edged, 36. In a second embodiment, the bolt head 62 serves as the abutment, Fig. 3. The liner may include lining and wear bar components. The lining segments 82, Fig. 4, are clamped by a wear bar 84 which engages steel plates 86 vulcanized to the respective lining segments.
