<p>1463398 Spring units ARFINA AUSTALT FUR CONTINENTALE UND UEBERSEEFINANZINTERESSEN 4 April 1974 [10 April 1973] 15116/74 Heading F2S A spring unit comprises two coaxial rigid members 2, 3 connected by a spiral spring 5 formed by a strip with its longer dimension in the direction of the spring axis, the turns of the spring 5 being contained in an elastomeric substance 7 extending between the rigid members 2, 3. The elastomeric substance 7 may have frusto-conical surfaces, e.g. 8, and helical spaces 9A between successive turns of the spring 5 which provide a transverse stop. The spring 5 may be welded by its end turns to the rigid members 2, 3 and may be precompressed during coating with the elastomeric substance 7. A dimensioned example is given.</p> |
