<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter which can selectively cut the light of specified wavelength generated in various kinds of displays, and has high visible light transmittance without disturbing color purity of the display. <P>SOLUTION: The optical filter contains at least one kind of tetraaza porphyrin having the maximum absorption wavelength in 570-605 nm in the substrate. Since the optical filter contains the tetraaza porphyrin having the maximum absorption wavelength in 570-605 nm in the substrate, the excessive light in the wavelength band of 570-605 nm generated in the various kinds of displays is efficiently cut. Therefore, by using the red color part of visible light rays, the preparation of the optical filter for display which has excellent durability and is easily molded by means of various kinds of methods is made possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
