PURPOSE:To obtain the denitration catalyst which is free from deterioration in performance and has wear resistance by coating the front end part of the denitration catalyst with V2O5-P2O5 glass contg. WO3, BaO, etc., having a specific transition point and softening point. CONSTITUTION:The front end part of the plate- or honeycomb-shaped ceramics catalyst is coated with the V2O5-P2O5 glass contg. >=1 kinds of the WO3, BaO and Sb2O3 having >=400 deg.C transition point and <600 deg.C softening point. The glass of this system has high chemical stability, does not consist essentially of PbO and does not contain alkaline metal oxides; therefore, the catalyst is substantially free from the deterioration in the catalyst activity. The wear at the front end of the catalyst by exhaust gases is obviated as well. |
