In a cardboard box for holding stockings a tab 11 is stuck lightly to the toe of each stocking so that one stocking at a time can be dispensed through an opening 5. In one form the box has a front wall of two layers the inner having the opening 5 and the outer having a larger opening 7. Each opening has a central slot to accommodate the tabs 11, the slot on the inner wall engaging notches in the sides of the tabs. To open the box a tab 17 overlying the tabs 11 is raised and a tear-out flap 16 is thereby torn open. In another form the front wall is of single thickness and the tab 17 may be omitted.</p> |
