PURPOSE:To improve heat-dissipating properties of a rotor, which generates heat by generation of an eddy current, by equipping a stator having a permanent magnet for generating an eddy current in a rotor provided at a rotating shaft to give a reduction braking to said rotating shaft and by providing the non-eddy current generating zone of the rotor with heat-dissipating fins. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 4 generating heat by generation of an eddy current is heat-dissipated and cooled by outside heat-dissipating fin 16 and inside heat- dissipating fin 17 provided at the noneddy current-generating zone of the rotor 4. Because these heat-dissipating fins 16, 17 are provided not at the eddy current- generating zone of the rotor 4 but at the outer periphery of the rotor 4, where no eddy current is generated, and on the rotor 4 inner peripheral face opposed to a release zone 13, the eddy current is hard to flow due to the irregular shape of the heat-dissipating fins 16, 17 so that a braking force is prevented from lowering, and heat-dissipating properties of the rotor 4 are improved efficiently. |
