Over and under combined sewer overflow/stormwater conveyance chambers

A tunnel design used to convey combined or sanitary sewage during wet weather events is disclosed. The design comprises an over chamber and an under chamber in releasable coordination with each other. The over chamber comprises an open canal and the under chamber comprises a box culvert.

1. A two-story sewer system comprising:
a lower chamber; and an upper chamber, wherein the upper chamber is coordinatedly disposed substantially over the lower chamber, wherein further the lower chamber and the upper chamber are releasably attached to each other, wherein the lower chamber comprises a box culvert, wherein the upper chamber comprises an open canal, wherein the lower chamber conveys combined sewer overflow or sanitary sewer overflow to a holding reservoir.
