PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object tracking method and device.SOLUTION: The object tracking method includes extracting a prominent portion of an object detected from a parallax image of a present frame, generating a plurality of clusters by clustering a parallax point in a parallax image of the next frame, calculating similarity between each prominent portion and each cluster in the parallax image of the next frame, determining a candidate cluster similar to the prominent portion, classifying the candidate cluster on the basis of a positional relation between the respective prominent portions, classifying the candidate cluster belonging to the same object into the same group, determining similarity of the group and the object on the basis of the similarity of the candidate clusters included in the groups respectively, selecting a group having the highest similarity and defining a location of the group having the highest similarity as a position in a parallax image of the next frame of the object. According to an object tracking technique, an accurate tracking result can be obtained even in the situation in which a mode change of an object frequently occurs or a part of an object is obstructed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
