PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool in which restraining force of an insert is strong, and which can perform positionally accurate processing.SOLUTION: A cutting tool 10 includes: a sleeve 4 to be mounted on a machine tool 1; and a rod-like insert 20 mounted on the sleeve 4, and having a longitudinal central axis 21 and cutting edges 22 at a tip. The sleeve 4 includes: an insert insertion hole 5 where a shank portion 26 of the insert 20 is inserted; and a positioning member 7 located in the insert insertion hole 5. The insert 20 has an inclined surface 27 at the rear end of the shank portion 26, and the inclined surface 27 is in line contact with the positioning member 7. One side 28a of a side surface 28 of the shank portion 26, longitudinally longer than the other side across the inclined surface 27 is in contact with a wall surface 6 of the insert insertion hole 5 of the sleeve 4. A cross section of the sleeve 4 is ring-shaped, the center of an outer peripheral circle of the ring-shaped sleeve 4 is shifted from the center of the insert insertion hole 5 of the sleeve 4, and the central axis 21 of the insert 20 coincides with the center of the outer peripheral circle of the sleeve 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
