PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of measurement in a photoacoustic apparatus having a constitution for holding a subject.SOLUTION: A photoacoustic apparatus comprises: a housing 111 having an insertion port 110 to which at least a portion of a hand being a subject 103 is inserted; a subject holding part 104a holding the subject 103 inserted to the housing 111; light irradiation means 102 irradiating the subject 103 with light; an acoustic wave receiver 106 receiving an acoustic wave generated in the subject due to the light and converting it into an electric signal; and an information acquisition part 107 generating information in the subject on the basis of the electric signal. The subject holding part 104a holds the subject 103 by being in contact with a portion of the subject surface not facing the acoustic wave receiver 106.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
