PURPOSE:To obtain a card excellent in alteration and forgery preventing properties by forming data such as a pattern, an image or a character to the surface of a card base material and forming the pattern and the image by a sublimation transfer method. CONSTITUTION:A pattern 2 and a photograph 3 of a person's face are formed to the surface of a card base material 1 by a sublimation transfer method and a character 4 is formed thereto by an arbitrary method and, if necessary, a transparent protective layer 6 is further provided to the surface of at least a part of these data through an adhesive layer 5. The pattern 2 and photograph 3 of a person's face provided to the card base material 1 can be formed using a sublimation type thermal transfer sheet. In this case, either one of the pattern 2 and the photograph 3 of a person's face may be formed previously and both of them may be simultaneously formed. At the same time, the data such as a character can be formed by the sublimation type thermal transfer sheet but it is pref. to form the character data 4 using a heat-meltable ink type thermal transfer sheet possible in high density black printing. |
