1,069,233. Sawtooth generating circuit. RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA. March 16, 1966 [April 12, 1965]. No. 11620/66. Heading H3P. In a deflection circuit for a television receiver, the amplitude of line and field deflection is stabilized against variations in supply voltage by rectifying the line flyback voltage in a voltage dependent resistor (VDR) 57 and using the rectified voltage to control the bias on the line deflection output stage 21 and the field output stage 25. The circuit is arranged so that the average anode current of tube 25 is independent of the supply voltage, further control being provided by feeding the anode of the field oscillator valve 24 from the boosted HT supply. As described, resistors 34, 35, 41 respectively form the vertical hold, height and linearity adjustments, the linearizing circuit including components 27, 38, 39 and 40. The amplitude-stabilizing bias for tube 25 is derived by rectifying the line flyback pulses with the aid of VDR 57 and reducing the derived voltage by means of a potential divider 43. |
