摘要 PURPOSE:To secure good accelerability by forcing an output reducing operation into an end at a time when the specified time longer than that required for usual shift operation has elapsed since an output reducing start signal has been outputted, in a device which operates the output drop of an engine at time of shifting. CONSTITUTION:An automatic transmission 3 controls the selective engagement of each frictional engaging element according to an operating position of a select lever and a driving state of a vehicle via a hydraulic controller 105 on the basis of a command of a transmission control unit(TCU) 104, whereby various shift speeds are automatically settled. With ignition timing of a spark plug 126 regulated by an electronic control unit 106 through a distributor 133 during a speed change, output of an engine 1 is reduced. In this case, when the specified time longer than that required for usual shift operation has elapsed since a torque reducing start signal has been outputted to the ECU 106 from the TCU 104, a torque reducing operation is made so as to be compulsorily ended.
