<p>Mould is drum- or bobbin-shaped and is held together by clamps. It has a jacketing layer of soft thermoplastic resin with corresponding temp. properties, which is applied to the outer surface of the mould as it turns around a central shaft. A flexible yarn is then would, with heat-treatment, with a large pitch from the edge of the upper clamp and sloping down to the opposite point of the lower clamp's edge. A second layer is similarly formed which departs little from the geometrical location of the yarn of the first layer and many such layers are closely added. A soft thermoplastics covering layer is then added. The inner and outer layers are joined by heating. The mould is then dismantled and removed.</p> |
