<p>A photographic film, for use in a diffusion transfer process in which if treated by a pair of pressure elements comprises (a) a photosensitive element with a composite structure comprising a stable layer, opaque to actinic incident layer, a layer of Ag halide emulsion, associated with a developing substance a layer of colour forming material which is soluble and dissoluble in the alkaline treatment compsn. (I) used a polymeric layer which can be dyed by the colour former a second stable layer, transparent by incident actinic light, and a binding system for the whole which fixes them together (b) an easily breakable container holding (I) contg an opacifying agent and a suspension of a copolymer together with a dye and developer. The container is fixed transversely across the leading edge of the film and discharges (I) undirectionally between the polymeric layer and the Ag halide emulsion layers to form a polymeric layer between the first polymer layer and its nearest Ag halide emulsion layer. This occurs after the image formation in the 1st polymeric layer and the layer so formed is impermeable to colour forming materials.</p> |
