A suspension device for a sliding door includes a carriage 10 movable on runners on a rail shown in broken lines in Fig. 3, the carriage having an aperture 16 with a concave end portion bearing surface 17 cooperating with a convex annular bearing surface 20 on a collar on a nut 21 which carries a threaded pin 26 to which the door is rotatably coupled and secured so as to be adjustable with respect to the carriage and the nut 26 is such a clearance in the aperture 16 but a non rotatable fit therein by means of projections 19 on the nut sliding in slots 22 in the body of the carriage as to allow limited relative movement between the carriage and door to compensate for any misalignment between carriage and door and avoid jamming therebetween. A resilient ring 23 is inserted between the collar 20. and a spring ring 18. |
