<p>PURPOSE:To run a train smoothly by determining the border between power converting stations based on position and speed information of a train which is fed with power from a rearward power converter in the advancing direction, and position information of a train which is fed with power from a forward power converter. CONSTITUTION:A 'border' means block switches 4a, 4b which are turned OFF to bring feeders 3 into electrically insulated state. It can be known at least to which position a rearward power converter 52 must feed power based on position and speed information of a train D2 which is fed with power from the rearward power converter 52. A zone which can not be fed with power from the rearward power converter 52 can be known based on position information of a train 02 which is fed with power from a forward power converter 53. Consequently, the border can be determined at a candidate border operating section 32 and a border determining section 62, resulting in a safe and smooth running of the train 02 without requiring speed reduction.</p> |
