1300982 Elevated floors LISKEY ALUMINUM INC 17 Nov 1970 [6 Jan 1970] 54525/ 70 Heading E1W Floor panels, e.g. 20, are supported on pedestals 1 each with a base 3 and a fourarmed cap 9, each arm of which is apertured to receive either a fixing screw 30 for fixing one end of a supporting beam 31 thereto (Figs. 1, 2) or a pin 61 locating adjacent panels, or a differently shaped pin (51), Fig. 7, (not shown) for locating, but not fixing, one end of a supporting beam. The pedestal includes a shaft 21 with a keyway 24 in which engages a lug (26) of an encapsulating member 25, see also Fig. 5, (not shown) which locks an adjusting nut 23 in position when lowered thereonto. The beams 31 may each carry an insulating gasket (43), Fig. 4 (not shown) on the top of the web 35 thereof, the beams being of top-hat section.
