2-Hydroxy-4,2',4'-trichloro-diphenyl ether (I) is used as feed additive with growth-promoting activity in breeding and fattening domestic animals, e.g. ruminants, partic, calves. Pref. (I) is added in 1-200 (1-50) ppm concn. w.r.t. total feed quantity, directly or as a pre-mix with inert carriers. |
