PURPOSE:To change the display start position of a main body according to whether the main body is installed laterally or longitudinally and to prevent a user from feeling physical disorder by providing a control means which displays a level from top to bottom when the display direction of a display device is vertical or from left to right when the display direction is horizontal. CONSTITUTION:When the main body 11 as an air cleaner is installed laterally, a switch 1 is turned off. While the switch 1 is off, an H-level signal is inputted to the gates of analog switches S1 - S6 through an inverter gate I1 and the analog switches S1 - S6 turn off to output the signal of a counter 3. When an air capacity switch 2 is operated at this time, the H-level signal is inputted to the clock input of the counter 3 and H-level signals are outputted from output Q0 - Q6 in order. Transistors Tr1 - Tr6 turn on by receiving the signals and light emitting diodes D1 - D6 of the display part 12 illuminate in this order. When the main body 11 is installed laterally, the switch 1 turns on and the light emitting diodes illuminate in the order of D6 to D1. |
