Procedure for packaging or stacking lumber or sheets. The pieces are moved to a position on top of each other in the stack or package (P) with the help of transfer arms (1) that are moved back and forth. The level (A-A) of the stack or package (P) rises as layers are made on the stack or package (P) being formed. A carriage device (5, 9) for the transfer arms (1) is moved by means of bodies (3, 3', 3'') that move in a closed track (2). The transfer arms (1b) and the pieces (P2, P3) borne by such are moved down on the stack or package (P) in such a way that the transfer body (3) continues its journey and releases from the carriage (5, 9) for the transfer arms (1b) and continues its journey on the closed track (2). The transfer arms (1b) are drawn linearly away from the position on the stack or package (P) by means of the transfer body (3) as it moves along a horizontal lower section of the closed track (2). The transfer bodies (3') are regulated on the closed track (2) to unit with the carriage device (5, 9) for the transfer arms (1d) and the transfer arms (1d) are moved by means of the transfer bodies (3') to an upper position for gripping and bearing the next piece (p1) to be packaged, whereby the procedure defined above is repeated.<IMAGE> |
