PURPOSE:To enhance mechanical strength, durability, and storage stability by forming on a conductive supporting body a photosensitive layer obtained by dispersing as a charge generating material an x-type metal-free phthalocyanine and a charge transfer material into a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer formed on the conductive supporting body is obtained by dispersing into a binder resin an x-type metal-free phthalocyanine as the charge generating material, and as a charge transfer material in an amount of <=1.5pts.wt. per 1pt.wt. of the binder resin the stilbene compound represented by formula I in which R<1> is H atom, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, allyl, or vinyl group, and R<2> is alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, or allyl group, thus permitting mechanical strength, durability, and storage stability to be enhanced. |
